A few simple DIY wedding centerpiece ideas to turn a boring and lifeless table into a celebration of life, colour and nature.
Photograph table runner
This would possibly work better for a smaller wedding as to create this you need a lot of photographs! Weddings are all about making memories and what better way to spend dinner than reminiscing over past ones with a DIY photograph table runner occupying the length of the table. You need a roll of paper that fits down the table, some PVA glue and a lot of old photographs. Simply stick down the photographs onto the paper and finish with floral arrangements placed on top to hold it in place.
Fabric hearts
These little hearts make a wonderful addition to a floral wedding centerpiece. Hang them from branches with ribbons and colour coordinate the fabrics to fit your wedding. Find out how to make the fabric hearts below...
Decorative birdcage
A creative and original way to decorate the tables at your wedding using... a birdcage! Obviously you will use decorative birdcages and not actual working ones. They are available in varying sizes and are usually designed ornately so need little to no work to look great. Place candles and petals inside for a quick and easy DIY table centrepiece or decorate with flowers both inside and twisting around the bars. The butterfly one below works really well and only requires some wire and prebought plastic butterflies.
