Waking up early on a Saturday morning isn't everyone's cup of tea, but it is worth it to visit Lab123 where for 10 eu an hour you can have a lesson on pottery making and even come up with your own project to evolve from a ball of clay.
Push, blend, pinch away, paint and cook, then dip in cristalina and cook again.
It's an exiting process, you are never quite sure how your project is going to look as a finished piece. Colours might not have the same hue you thought or accidentally you mix in something else and pufff... you have an unintended art piece that people think you did on purpose.
Playing with clay makes me feel like a true artist... till I pinch off a piece and find out it doesn't taste the same as silly putty... puaah.
This past Monday I picked up my final pice; an adorable whale planter that had just come out of the oven. On Sunday I had bought 4 tinny cactus for 50 cents of a euro each and I couldn't wait to get one acquainted with my whale.
