Denim shorts are the ultimate fashion must have, you can where them rain or shine and they go with just about anything. This year why not update you denim shorts with some lace inserts! Its so easy and cheap to do, all you need are you old favourite pair of denim shorts and some lace, which you can get from a craft store or from any old cushions or curtains you may have lying around. The finish product gives a really cute summery look!
What you will need:
- Denim shorts
- Fabric glue or sewing equipment
1) Firstly take your piece of lace and cut two equal triangles. You can use a ruler to measure each triangle to make them more symmetrical and the correct size for your shorts.
2) Next glue or sew your lace triangles onto your shorts using the seams at the side at your centre marker. Be sure not to glue or sew the bottom side of the triangle, you will only need to attach the top two sides to the shorts.
3) Once the lace triangles are attached, cut out the denim underneath using the lace as a guide.
