DIY Christmas Wreath

Christmas wreaths are a great, understated way to add a little Christmas decoration to your house. They are a subtle alternative to most other Christmas decorations which can often be bright and extravagant. Wreaths are often arranged with a natural theme and as you can see from the images acorns, fruit and berries are among the most popular and successful designs.

Wreaths are also extremely easy to make, and they don't have to be made from scratch - buy a plain wreath, if you prefer, and add your own personal decorations such as baubles, ribbons and plastic berries...

Follow our simple tutorial and create your own nature inspired Christmas wreath to hang upon your front door.

    Instructions

    1. Remove the stems from the magnolia leaves and spray paint them with the copper spray. Leave to dry.
    2. Cut off the individual petals from the poinsettia flowers.
    3. Gather about 2-4 short stems of the lemon leaves to create a small bunch. Using the florists wire you are going to wrap the lemon leaves around the wreath securing them at their stems. You need to do this until the wreath is covered with lemon leaves.
    4. Using the florists wire attach the florist picks to 30 magnolia leaves and 20 poinsettia petals. Add the leaves/petals at random intervals around the wreath by pushing the picks bewteen the lemon leaves.
    5. Cut short lengths of the christmas greens and pinecones, and the cedar sprigs, and hot glue gun them to the wreath.
